24 Weeks Old--November 20, 2008

24 Weeks Old
Gobble, Gobble
I cannot believe Cameron's 1st Thanksgiving is only a week away. Thanksgiving will take on a whole new meaning for Bill & I this year because we were blessed with Cameron. I am so thankful for Cameron & that he arrived safe, healthy & "perfect." I bought the outfit Cameron has on at Babies-R-Us. It is a cute little outfit with Turkeys on it and it says Gobble all over. Enjoy!

Sending Out Thanksgiving Day Cards

This is the Picture I chose for the Postcard
Looking a little scared!
Looking a little tired of it!
This turkey is making me Hungry!!
YEAH...Mommy is done taking Pics!
Cameron's 1st year is going by so quickly. It is hard for me to believe that he will be 6 months old in December. I already scheduled his 6 month/Christmas Pictures at Sadies on his actual 6 month birthday (December 5). I love the work Sadies does, but they are WAY over priced. The only reason I scheduled Sadies was b/c I received a generous gift certificate for Sadies at one of my showers.
I decided to send out Postcards with Cameron's Pic on it for some of his "1st." His little Pea in the Pod Halloween Postcard was sent out a little late, but it went out! I promised I would get his Thanksgiving Postcard out sooner. I snapped a few photos on a Friday & found the perfect one to send. I bought Cameron the Onesies that says "My First Thanksgiving" & the Turkey head-dress at Babies-R-Us. My mom found the stuffed turkey & I just thought it all would look cute together. It did! Here are a few of the Pics.
The Postcard read:
Gobble, Gobble
Cameron's 1st Thanksgiving
We are Thankful for him!
Happy Thanksgiving

23 Weeks Old--November 13, 2008

23 Weeks Old
My Little Man
He is so inquisitive!
About done with Pics!
Getting ready for his cereal in the morning
Cameron is starting to really get into a regular routine. He sleeps like clock-work (Most of the time) for 9 hours. On average takes approximately 3 hours worth of naps during the day. I just pray that we can continue this progress. I am simply grateful he is good little sleeper & is doing well. I thank God every night for Cameron & how he has blessed my life!!!!

The Cold Strikes...Winter came too Soon!!!

Ready to face the cold
Not too happy
How can I get one these Cameron?
I hate the cold. Not to mention I never realized how much you need to bundle up babies. It takes me at least 10 minutes to get Cameron ready. My sister-in-law Rhonda bought Cameron this AWESOME fleece all in one Columbia Outfit. It is perfect for this weather & Cameron looks so darn cute in it.

Future QB for the Eagles

Future QB of the Eagles
Looking Sharp!
Wears the McNabb Jersey with Pride!
Anyone who know me, knows that I love the Eagles & especially love the QB Donovan McNabb. I realize that my favorite QB is not having a great year (actually it is pretty bad), however I still love him! So it should be no surprise that Cameron has his own McNabb Jersey. So on Sunday the 9th of November I put in the Jersey & of course snapped some shots. I was thinking I might send it to McNabb somehow.....right about now he needs a pick me up!!! So here are a few pics of the future QB of the Philadelphia Eagles...Cameron David Fisher!!!

22 Weeks Old--November 6, 2008

22 Weeks Old
Ready for bed
Not much to write here as Cameron just turned 5 months 1 day prior. I did, however, like I always do, took his picture. It was at bedtime, so he was tired & you can see it. I plan on taking his picture every week for the 1st year. I like to see how he has grown & changed. So yes...I am one of THOSE mothers & I will not apologize for it! Suzanne once told me that she wished her mom took more pictures of her as kid (Suzanne was #4 of 5). So the opportunity was not always there. Her words struck me, so I plan on capturing all these moments. Not just for me, but so Cameron can look back & see his progress too.

5 Months Old--November 5, 2008

5 months Old
Looking Cute in the Jeans
Thought the hat was cute too!
Tired of Pics
Time flies.......................Cameron is getting so big. I so enjoy watching him grow & discover all kinds of new things. When we went to the Dr. Cameron received his two shots...my brave little boy!!! He weighed 15 lbs. 13 ozs. They did not tell me where that figures on the all mighty chart, which I could honestly care less about to tell you the truth. All was well.
Cameron tries to sit up. He is still wobbly, but we sit behind him & let him play. He is starting to reach for more things...like people! I must say, my heart melted the first time he reached for me!!! Loved it. He is fascinated by the dogs still, but more and more with Belle. She is a trooper (Belle). He grabs her ear, fur & gives it a tug....Belle does nothing. I do, however, make certain that I show Cameron the right way to "pet" Belle and Maya. The earlier he learns the better. The sign language is still coming around. I try to reinforce Mommy, Puppy, eat, etc. I think he will get is soon. I would guess around 7-8 months old. Keep your fingers crossed.

Birthday Party

Chip, Cameron, Jacob, Cheryl & JoshuaJacob, Cameron & Joshua
Jacob & Cameron
On Sunday, November 2, we all attended Amy's Birthday Party. Cameron was dressed in his PJ's for the night since the party was later in the evening. He was a trooper. We had fun. I took a pic of Cameron & Jacob, all the boys & one pic of Chip & Cheryl with the boys. Amy & I planned on putting together a calendar for Chip and Cheryl as a "Thank you!" for the World Series. We needed the pic of them with the boys, so the b-day party was the best way to get that!!!

Trick-Or Treating

Bill, Cameron, Grandma Morgan & Grandma Florence
Cameron w/Grandma & Grandpa Fisher
With everything that occurred the week of the 27th, we did not get to take Cameron Trick-or-Treating until Saturday, Nov. 1st. My parents got to see Cameron in his outfit at the Pumpkin Patch & were going to be gone for the weekend. So they brought Cameron's Halloween goodies up before they left. Thank you Mom & Dad for coming to see Cameron & giving him his Halloween treats!!! We love you!
Our 1st stop was Bill's Grandma & Great-Grandma. They thought Cameron looked too cute in his Pea In a Pod Costume. It was nice to spend time with them & I know they enjoyed seeing Cameron. They were generous & gave Cameron money for his bank for Halloween. Thank you Grandma Florence & Grandma Morgan...it was really appreciated! We love you much!
Our 2nd stop was Chip & Cheryl. They had Goodies too for Cameron! They too, of course, thought Cameron looked TOO cute in his costume. I thought so too. Thank you Chip & Cheryl for all the Goodies!!! Cameron loves it all. We love you!!!
Donn, Rhonda, Brianna & Brandon came up to see us. Bri was home for the weekend from college & could not wait to see Cameron. I put the costume on for them...they loved it too! Thanks for coming to see Cameron guys. I love you all very much!!!
Look to your mail soon. I am finally getting around to celebrating Cameron's 1st Halloween!!!

Parade down Braod Street--Celebrate the Phillies Win!

The Parade
Another Float
World Champs!
At the Ticker Tape on Broad Street
By the Love Park
Bill has been waiting for YEARS for there to be a parade down Broad Street in Philly celebrating a World Championship. So the when the Phillies won, there was no question we was going. I was rather sick, but was feeling better by the time Bill was ready to go...so off to Philly we went. We actually saw the Parade on Spring Garden by mere luck...they were working their way to Market Street where the Parade began. We got some good pics too. We then high tailed it down to Broad to take in the atmosphere of the parade...& what an atmosphere it was! Ticker Tape falling, people cheering, men in red underwear with big "P's" written on their stomachs. You name, we saw it. It was neat experience to witness & say we were there. I was happy to share it with Bill!!!

Happy Halloween

Cameron's 1st Halloween
Socks to match
And the bib too!
Soon tired of pics!
I believe this means ENOUGH mom with the pics!
Cameron's 1st Halloween! He was ready. I put him in his onesies (from Aunt Amy) that said, "Baby's 1st Halloween", his socks (from Mom) that said, "My 1st Halloween" & his bib (from Cheryl) that said, "Baby's 1st Halloween." He looked too cute of course. A woman my mom works with also gave Cameron a Jack-O-Lantern. Cameron thought it was it pretty cool. We would not go trick-or treating however, until Saturday due to our schedule.
I am really into the whole "1st" thing. He will never have a 1st Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc. I think you get the point. I plan on making them all special & putting him in outfits to reflect it!

21 Weeks--October 30, 2008

21 Weeks Old
Love the Halloween Outfit
Enough photos mom!
Done with Pics!
In the midst of all the commotion of the week, Cameron turned 21 weeks old...cannot believe it still. He was preparing for his 1st Trick-or-Treat. I put him a cute Halloween outfit my mom bought him. He is learning so much. He tries to hold his bottle, but can only do it for a few seconds before it drops. He loves his cereal, veggies & we just started fruits. So far Applesauce is it, but he loves it still. He is getting so big, so I continue to cherish every moment with him.
Happy 9th Anniversary Bill! Love you more & more everyday!!!!!

World Series, Game 5 (Oct 29th)--Take 2

The celebration!
Bill & I after the WIN!
Bill, Cheryl & Amy I enjoying the moment!
World Series Banner
Announcing the World Champs
So, MLB decided to resume Game 5 of the World Series @ 8:37 pm on Wednesday, October 29th. We took a bus down on Monday, however the bus was not going to take everyone back down. You needed to find your own way. I asked my Dad if we could use his Mini-Van so all of us could go together instead of driving two separate cars. He was accommodating (Thanks Dad!).
We arrived about 2 hours before 1st pitch, again I tried to get those buttons, but no luck. We all went our separate ways since each person has their own "tradition" before game time. I ran into Cheryl & Chip in front of a broadcast booth where Mitch "Wild Thing" Williams was broadcasting. Mitch was on the 1993 World Series Team & loved my Cheryl. I was able to get his picture with both Chip & then Cheryl. I was happy I was there to capture the moment for them, especially for all that they did to get us to the World Series!
To our seats we went....Bill met me there & it looked like the stands were going to be empty for Take 2 of Game 5. Well, let me tell you that the stands filled up FAST & it was louder on Wednesday then Monday. 45,000 people came back to get the last three 1/2 innings. The stadium was loud, electric & AWESOME! Everyone was cheering, yelling waving there rally towels & cheering on the Phillies. As the top of the ninth arrived & Brad "Lights Out" Lidge came in, the Phillies were three outs way from winning the World Series. It was so exciting & nerve racking!!!! Side note: One of Bill's earliest memories is jumping up in down in his living room as a kid when the Phillies won the 1980 World Series. I knew that if they won, the tears were going to fly!!!
As Brad got one out, then two outs, the stadium grew louder and louder. Let me say that I was not feeling that well...caught Bill & Cameron's cold, but it did not stop me from screaming for the Phillies. When the 3 out was received & the Phillies won, the stadium was shaking...literally! It was amazing. We were at the World Series & got to see the Phillies win it. This was a remarkable experience. And yes...the tears flew. I watch Cheryl & Bill especially that night. They were so overcome with joy, it was a pleasure to watch them. I was able to capture a few moments from that night, but it will be ingrained in my memory forever!
Thank you to Rhonda & Donn: They watched Cameron that night so we could attend the game! Thank you both from the bottom of my heart. You have taken Cameron when I needed it & you were glad to do it. He loves you both & I am grateful that he gets to call you "Aunt & Uncle." I love you both!
Thank you Chip & Cheryl: I do not know how I can express in words how much this meant to me, but especially to Bill. Your generosity with the tickets, the programs, food, Cameron's pin, the shirts, hats, pennant, shot glass & Cameron's bib is overwhelming. I know why you wanted to get these tixs Cheryl...it was an opportunity of a lifetime, a memory to share with all of us. It truly was an amazing experience & thank you for allowing us to share it with you. I love you both Thank you again!!!!

My Family
Bill, Cameron & Me
On Saturday, October 25th, my Grandmother Helen George passed away. She was 93 years old. This was my mom's mother & my last living grandparent. Her funeral was on Tuesday the 28th.
I did not get to spend a great deal of time with my Memmy while I was growing up. I did not get that time with her until about the year 2000 when my grandfather passed. This is along story & for those who know me, know why. I can honestly say that I am grateful for what time I did get with her. Early in this Blog I have a very special picture...a 4 generation picture of my Memmy, Mom , myself & Cameron. I will cherish that always & tell Cameron all about my Grandmother.
The only time that my Grandmother's grandchildren were all together at the same time were in 2000 at my Grandfather's funeral & now at her funeral.
Where my Grandmother went to church her whole life was where the after gathering was. We took this opportunity to reflect on her & catch up. We took photos in the church of all us grandchildren. It was special.
Memmy--I am grateful for the time we got together. I am especially thankful that you got to meet Cameron. I promise to show him that picture & tell him all about you. You were always so special. Even though growing up we did not get to see you often, you never forgot our birthdays & Christmas. Thank you for that Memmy & please know that we will miss you. I know you are at peace with God & not in pain any longer. I love you Memmy!
