The Gifts...

Cameron with all his gifts
Opening his Spongebob Bathroom set
New toy
Mommy & Daddy got Cameron Elmo Live...He loved it!
New Bee Bop Band Set
When I sent out Cameron's 1st Birthday Invites, I put a sticker on the the back that read: "Please, no gifts necessary. Your "presents" is gift enough!" I truly meant it too. Cameron has been extremely blessed with numerous "things" that he did not need anything. I guess my sticker did not work though...Cameron got plenty of gifts!! Everyone was extremely generous. Cameron got new trucks, handmade pull toy, gift cards, money, a sand box, books, drum set, a new Spongebob Bathroom set, toys & clothes. I was so overwhelmed by everyone's generosity. Cameron only opened about 2 gifts during the party b/c he was having so much fun playing in the yard with the other kids. He opened the rest later that night & the next morning.
Thank you to everyone for all the wonderful gifts. Your generosity was overwhelming & greatly appreciated!!!

Eating Cake...

The Birthday Boy
Everyone Singing
Digging in...
Mmmmmm
What a Mess!!!
The time had come to sing "Happy Birthday" to out little munchkin. Cameron was fascinated by the candle & did not even try to touch it. He looked around at everyone as we sang. He looked too cute for words. He was hesitate at 1st to dig in, but he got there eventually. He LOVED it. I can honestly tell you that I so enjoyed watching him. He is such a Great Baby!!!

The Kids

The Kids in attendance

The Pinata

Cameron getting ready to pull his string
Still trying to figure it out...
The kids picking up the candy
Cameron finding candy
Cameron with the Elmo Pinata
I found an Elmo Pinata @ the Dollar Store of all places. I was looking all over for a Cookie Monster Pinata, but not even Sesame Street on line had one. I had to settle for Elmo, which Cameron loves too. I got the string Pinata since Cameron was not going to be swinging a bat & also thought it would be safer for all those involved. I had no idea how full we could stuff that pinata with candy. I looked all over for cute bags for the kids & none of the ones I found I liked. So, I made my own. I bought paper lunch bags, printed Cameron's Birthday Pic then underneath I put "Cameron's 1st Birthday Party, June 6, 2009". I pasted it on the bags & I was done. I thought they turned out quite good considering. The Pinata was a hit...take a look!

Some Family Pictures

Our Beautiful Lil' Family
Daddy & Cameron
Mommy & Cameron
Uncle Donn, Cameron, Aunt Kelly & Aunt Robin
Cameron, of course, had on an onesie that said "My First Birthday" on it...thanks Mom!!! The day got started with a few pics with Bill & I. I managed to get my brother & sisters with Cameron, but some how forgot the grandparents. I guess I got preoccupied. Here are the pics!

The 1st Birthday Party--Decorations

View of the Poster I made
Up close...So precious
Some of the tables & centerpieces
Cameron's Cookie Monster Cake...that is a real cookie!
Cameron's own personal cake
Ok...here is where I might have gone a tad extreme. I ordered plates, napkins & balloons from Birthday Express.com. Great website for Birthdays by the way. Bought cute little centerpieces for the tables & tablecloths to match all the decoration. Bill & I picked out a Banner that said Happy Birthday Cameron that we can use year after year after year. It was very nice. I made a poster board saying, "Celebrating Cameron's 1st Year." All around the board were his pictures. Starting with his very 1st picture when he was born, then 1 month old, 2 months old, etc. all the way to his 1st birthday the day before. I thought it turned out great. You could really see how he had grown throughout the year. Our cake lady, Pam, made Cameron's cake. It was Cookie Monster & it turned out great. She also made his "private" cake. Did I mention we hired a videographer too! Here are a few shots of all this.
A BIG Thanks to Aunt Suzanne--Thank for coming early & helping us out. I was running soooo behind & you totally were my Blessing! I love ya!!!!

New Toys...Birthday Presents from Mommy & Daddy

The Corn Popper
The new Ball pit

Loving the Balls

Climbing in the Ball Pit

Still loving it....

Loving laying in the Ball pit

Bill & I did not go "overboard" with gifts for his 1st Birthday. Honestly. We bought him some clothes for summer & upcoming winter, books & of course a few toys. The biggest hit was the Ball Pit. Cameron loved it!!! He also liked his Corn Popper. Although, he was not quite steady enough to walk with it, he loved the noise. We saved the rest of his gifts for his birthday party. I did snap a few pics of him playing with his new toys.

1st Birthday Lunch

The Ice Cream Sundae!
Watching the waitresses & waiters singing & clapping
In awe of the Balloons
Still liking the Balloons!
1st Taste of Ice Cream...YUM!
After Cameron had his 1st year pics done @ Portrait Innovations...which by the way turned out FABULOUS...we went to Red Robin for his 1st Birthday lunch. Bill & I knew they would sing there, so we thought it would be a great place to celebrate out new 1 year old. Cameron had some of my chicken & pasta and had some of Bill's fries. He was delighted! When he had his pictures taken, he had his 1st taste of cake & icing and of course he LOVED it!
The waitress saw immediately it was his 1st birthday (the crown & bib helped), & asked if they could bring him ice cream & sing to him. Bill & I were super excited, but a little nervous. We hoped he would love it and not be too scared. So they came with balloons, an ice cream sundae & they clapped & singed to Cameron. He liked it & was in awe of the Balloons. Bill gave him his 1st taste of ice cream....he was hooked immediately! His face lit up. It was great to watch!!! Of course, I captured quite a bit of this on film!!!

1st Birthday Morning--June 5, 2009

The Birthday Boy Playing!
My Big 1 Year Old!
I will do his birthday in sections b/c there is a ton to write about!
Bill & I were both home & when he awoke on his 1st Birthday we both went to get him. I had the video camera in hand & we made a big to-do about his 1st B-day. He had pancakes & Bananas for breakfast....his favorite! Cameron had his 1st B-day Pics @ 11 pm, so we had some time to play before we all had to get ready. This is Cameron playing in the morning.

52 Weeks Old--June 4, 2009

52 Weeks Old
Lookin' Good in his Outfit!
I ask you...How cute is he!?!
Up to no good I bet!
I just love this face!!!
B-Day tomorrow! It is hard for me to imagine that a year ago on this day, Bill & I were spending our last "alone" time together. Making all the final arrangements before Cameron's arrival. I can remember crying for my girls b/c I knew their lives were going to change forever...& they did! All day at work, I was going over all the last minute details for his birthday & his birthday party in my head. Needless to say, I was not focused at all!
Well here we are...52 weeks later. The last of the weekly picture taking. I am sure Cameron is quite happy with this! The outfit Cameron has on..one of my favorites. I purchased it for him before he was born. For those of you who may not be familiar with me as well...I LOVE MICHAEL JORDAN! Love him. So when I saw this Jordan outfit...he had to have it! He is also wearing the Jordans he got for Easter. Cameron looks too cute in this whole outfit!!!

51 Weeks Old--May 28, 2009

51 Weeks Old
Looking too cute for words...
The shirt says, "Mommy's Prince Charming"
Riding the Hippo
Having fun!
One more week until B-day! Well we started Cameron on his new night-time routine. Cameron gets dressed for bed, we drink our cup of milk (formula yet), brush our teeth, read a book & go into the crib to sleep. I must tell you....this was harder for me then Cameron. He was already resisting me rocking him at night. As a matter of fact, the first night he wriggled out at night to go to sleep on his own in the crib, I cried. And cried! Bill was so sweet, but I knew he was growing up. YUCK! I do so miss rocking him to sleep. On the occasion he will let me...I still do. I cherish that time with him. I deeply miss it...can you tell! Of course, it should not be a shocker that I am crying now writing about it. I am such a SAP!
