Valentine's Day was rather quiet in our house. No fancy dinners or expensive gifts. Bill did ring the doorbell & hand me a dozen yellow roses and chocolate...he is still so romantic! Love him!
Cameron was not without gifts though. He got money, food, books, stuffed animals & LOTS of love. He was visited my Grandma and Pap Edgar, Grandma and Grandpa Fisher & Aunt Robin. Thank you all for coming to see Cameron & also for showering him with LOVE! The best gift there is!
Happy Valentine's Day Lil' Munchkin...Daddy & Mommy love you!!!!!

He loves the Safari Roller too!
Not much to add here, other then Cameron is starting to pull up to stand. Time to lower the crib! Bill tried to capture him doing this on Monday, put he only got a blurry pic on his phone. Cameron loves the Leap Frog Table he got for Christmas from Aunt Suzanne & is always trying to pull himself up. Too cute. I snapped a few pics to celebrate his 36 Week Old B-Day!

Moving the Glider!
People who know me, know I love everything that is "1st." I sent out Cameron's 1st Halloween, Thanksgiving, & Christmas. The only one I missed was 4th of July. I was a new mother, so I think I get a free pass. I only a few more of these left. So Friday, February 6th, I took Cameron's Pic for his Valentine's 1st. We had fun! I think Cameron enjoyed being his diaper more though after all the pics. He figured out that if he moved back & forth he could move the glider. Rather cute!!! Here are a few of the pics & the one I sent to family & friends!

So, my lil' boy turned 8 months old. Time flies.
To be honest, I was happy to see his 7 month (January) be gone! My poor little guy had RSV at the beginning of January, an ear infection in the middle & then the stomach bug at the end. The 1st week in February...we were beginning to get back to "normal." We were at the Dr so much in January. We were there on January 30th & he weighed 18 lbs. 15 oz. Still in the 50th percentile. All was well. No more "poopers", no more throwing up & back to our normal routine. AMEN!
I took Cameron back after this appointment for his last vaccination from his 6 month visit. I asked what I could do to keep the RSV & such away. I found out that since Cameron had RSV already, he could get it again from any strain of cold. The medicine he took will only keep it away for 30 days & guess what...the 30 days were up. His advice was of course wash, wash & wash your hands a lot. The next piece was to avoid children with any type of cold/runny nose, etc. Cameron goes to Rochelle 3 days a week, so I have no control those three days, but I do have control the other 4 days. I am willing to do whatever it takes to keep Cameron healthy & strong until RSV season is gone (mid-March). It is frustrating that I do not have that control 3 days a week, but what is more frustrating is the lack of understanding I received from others. In fact, I was rather hurt/distraught by things that occurred & that were said. The bottom line for me though...Cameron is our son. If someone does not agree with our philosophy or our reason it truly is not their business. My 1st priority is my son's health & if that means avoiding restaurants, the mall, Wal-Mart, parties, etc....that is what we will do. I hope I never have to put Cameron back on that nebulizer again as it was heart wrenching to watch. I would think any mother would feel the same way.
Through this time, I depended a lot on the serenity prayer. At times it is hard to follow especially the part.."accept the things I cannot change."
Cameron is the biggest blessing in my life. He is remarkable & I so enjoy watching all his milestones. He is quite inquisitive & catches on to things rather quickly. He watches you do things very intently & then tries his darnest to mimic you. It is amazing. I try to make everything a learning experience for Cameron even the tub. We splash the water, I repeat the colors of his toys, make the rubber ducky talk, etc. I love it! I enjoy being a mom a great deal.
There are a few Thank You's I need to get out there. 1st is my MOM. Again she stepped up the plate for me. She is an amazing mom & grandmother. Taking Cameron when he was sick, supporting me by going to the Dr when Bill couldn't & just loving Cameron with all her heart. I am lucky she is my mom & Cameron is SUPER lucky she is his Grandmother. When ever my mom talks to him, he lights up..he loves her so!!! 2nd, Rochelle. She hung in there with Cameron when he had the stomach bug. She dealt with the "poopers", the throwing up & his less then happy demeanor. God love ya Rochelle! Last, my friends who understood my frustration above. They are amazing. They let me vent & had my back! Love you all!!!
Here is to hoping Cameron's 8 month is better then his 7 month!!!
