We had no plans today, so we hung out at home. We went to the West End Fair last Sunday, which was fun. Cameron looked around & took it all in, so we thought today we would just chill out. Cameron is growing, but still does not fit into a lot of his 3-6 months clothes. He wears mostly 3 months & still fits into some 0-3 months. I needed to get him in some of these outfits(3-6 months) as they are summer outfits, and we are almost done with summer. So today was a Phillies Outfit. It was a little big, but we managed. We also managed to nap today....which Bill caught on camera!

I also was wearing my "Men In Black" t-shirt I bought at Universal Studios last summer while on vacation with my family. I had to have it b/c their was a pug on it. So Maya & I posed for pic. We looked GOOD!

12 Weeks Old--August 28, 2008

I cannot believe Cameron is 12 weeks already & next week he will be 3 months. Cameron was really good for his Mommy...he was sleeping on average 9 1/2 hours a night! He is good little sleeper and I continue to pray that he keeps up this awesome schedule.

He did his 1st day at the Sitter's (Rochelle) on Tuesday. I wanted to get him there one day before he goes three days a week next week. He did well for Rochelle. He cried when I was leaving, which broke my heart, but I survived as did Cameron. Cameron will have two playmates next week at Rochelle's which I am sure he will be amazed by.

Cameron is becoming more independent already. He loves playing on the Activity Mat & soon he will be able to play in his Activity Center. He giggles & laughs a lot, and when you talk to him he is starting to "baby gibber" back to you. It is so cute. He really is fascinated by the sign language still. I really think he knows Mommy, All done & Puppy. I am looking forward to the 1st time he signs back to me...I am sure I will cry! Shocker!

I was off from work on Wednesday, so I got to spend the day with my little man. It was a tad chilly, so I put long sleeves on Cameron to go do our errands. I love dressing Cameron like a little man, not a baby. I know he is a baby, but I love how he looks in certain outfits. This cute Gap shirt was a gift & I thought it was SUPER cute, so I snapped a few shots. Of course, I do dress him like a baby often which is why I love taking these pics of him!

Fantasy Football

Every year, Bill has a Fantasy Football Draft in person at our house. It all started when we still lived in Weissport. It has evolved a great deal since then, but this is the only draft he has in person. The other is all done on line. The name of the league is the David H. Snyder League. This is in honor of Bill's late grandfather (also Cameron's middle name). It gives us a chance to get together with everyone & have a good time for a few hours. We even got my nephew Brandon involved. He has done quite well. He has always drafted himself & we are always impressed! Our friends Sue & Skip are in the league (Sue is the Owner & Skip is the GM). He drafts for her, then if she loses, she can blame him. It is a nice set up actually. Bill's dad, sister & cousin are in the league along with other friends of Bill's.

So it was Cameron's 1st Fantasy Draft...he slept mostly, but we all enjoyed his company. I even got my nephew Brandon (who does not do babies), to hold Cameron for a photo op! Yeah Brandon!!!

11 Weeks Old--August 21, 2008

It is that time again...Cameron has turned another week older. 11 weeks!!! He gets cuter everyday I swear. I know people will say I am biased, but really, he is so cute!!! He is becoming quite the nosey little boy. He fights sleep...I mean really fights sleep. He takes at most 4-5 hours worth of naps during a day. Mostly he is averaging 3-4 hours a day. The best part of all this, Cameron sleeps at night. He has gone from 7-8 hours to 8-9 hours a night. Sometimes even 10 hours! I was quite surprised the 1st time that happened! He has done that 2-3 times now. I know I am extremely lucky! I know I mentioned before that Cameron & I say our prayers every night before bed. God has really answered my prayers & has blessed me tremendously. Cameron is the best gift God has ever given me. I love Cameron so & I thank God every single night for him.

Cameron is very alert & at most times a content baby. He is trying his darnest to get that thumb in his mouth, which I am hoping he will never find! He has been doing really well at my Mom & Dad's house. I know they love that special one-one time with Cameron. Thank you Mom & Dad for taking such wonderful care of my little one! I know he loves you so!!!

Next week he will be at Rochelle's (my sister-in-law Rhonda..this is her sister) one day. She will have no other kids so she will get to spend her one-one time with Cameron. This way she can get to know Cameron & Cameron can get to know her. The week of Labor Day he starts 3 days week.

I also took today to get the girls picture with Cameron again! Belle was reluctant, but she sat on the couch for one photo. Just wait until Cameron can crawl & he starts chasing Belle!!!

My mom had family over yesterday as three of my nieces (Lauren, Ashton & Brianna) are all heading off to college. Brianna & Ashton for their 1st year & Lauren for her 2nd. Lauren is headed back to DC to attend her 2nd year at Trinity College. Ashton will be starting at Penn State Berks & Brianna will be attending Wilkes University. We are very proud of them all. Yesterday also marked the 1st time Aunt Robin held Cameron. Of course, pictures were a must!

To my nieces Lauren, Ashton & Brianna: I wish you much success at college this year. Study hard & make GREAT friends that will last a lifetime!! Don't forget to have fun! I am SUPER proud of all you & love you all much!

Book Shelf

I have been meaning to take a picture of the Book Shelf in Cameron's bedroom. My friends & family at my Baby Shower were asked to bring a book for Cameron's library in place of a wishing well. It was a great idea! My brother, sisters & parents purchased the bookshelf as part of my shower gift & the people at the shower filled it with books. It was such a nice gift. Cameron received such sweet books. Bill's Mom & Dad gave Cameron books that were Bill's when he was a kid, my Mom & Dad bought a book with Maya on the front, people made books, etc!!! I was overwhelmed. The best part was the guests were asked to write a special note to Cameron/Bill/myself if they wanted to. People wrote such special things. It took me days before I could read them all...not just because of how many, but because I cried at many of them!

I received one book entitled "Love You Forever." The book is about a mother/son relationship & the stages it goes through (Terrible two's, nine year old boy, teenager & a grown up son). She sings the same song to him every night before bed:

I have been reading this book to Cameron almost every night before bed. It took me several weeks before I could make it through without crying. Of course, I still cry when I read it every so often.

I know I mentioned in an earlier blog that Cameron really enjoys his Baby Einstein PlayMat. I snapped a few photos of him playing on it the other day. You can see he is fascinated by everything on it. He really enjoys the Classical music it plays. I enjoy watching him on the mat. He smiles & laughs and really seems to be taking it all in. I would recommend this playmat to any new mother or to anyone who is looking for a gift for a new mother...it rocks!!

My Little Munchkin is 10 weeks. He has been so kind to his mommy...he is sleeping 8-9 hours now!!! I was in shock when he slept 9 hours 2 night in row. He is laughing more now, smiling more & taking in his environment. He loves certain songs I sing to him. He loves A-B-C & Knick-Nack Paddy Whack & he especially loves when I sing 50 Nifty United States. I am also using sign language with Cameron. All simple things like Mommy, Daddy, Puppy, eat, drink, etc. Suzanne taught her twins & it was amazing what they could communicate to her before they could actually talk. Cameron is fascinated by the sign language, so I hope he will pick it up & we will be able to communicate sooner. I know it will save both him & I a lot of frustration.

The other night, Bill was listening to his I-Pod in the kitchen. He came into the living room where Cameron & I were preparing for our nighttime ritual. He took Cameron into the kitchen to listen to a song. The song was "Together Again" from one of the Muppet Movies (I think The Muppets Take Manhattan). Bill was singing & dancing with Cameron. It was incredibly sweet & I snapped a quick photo. It was a nice moment between Father & son. I love my boys!!!

Our intention was to go the the "Great" Carbon County Fair this past Sunday, but the weather had different plans. So we stayed home & were lazy. We watched the Olympics & just "hung out" together. Of course, I took the opportunity again to snap a few photos. Go figure. I just really want to remember everything about this time. The advice I was given was to cherish every moment because it goes so fast. So I thought I would document my experience through film. I know Cameron & us will appreciate it later in life.

As I got Cameron ready to go the other day for an errand run, I took the opportunity to get the girls next to him for a photo op. Belle hates getting her photos done & Maya is simply use to it. As he gets older, I will continue to try to get more photos of them together.

Cameron's 9 week birthday was only two days after his 2 month milestone, but I still snapped a few shots. I had worked on the 6th & 7th, so I was happy to spend my night with Cameron on the 7th just enjoying & loving him. I cried the 1st day, but I survived as did Cameron. I know I am the one who needs to adjust, he will manage just fine. I just miss him when I am away from him!!!

I cannot believe that Cameron is 2 months old. This week we went to the Pediatrician for his 2 month check-up. He weighed 12 lbs. 1.5 ozs. He was in the 50% in weight now. There are 3 Drs. in the practice & we saw the woman. She asked me how many bottles & I stated 5 a day on average. She asked how many at night & I said he is sleeping through the night. She told me, get this, to wake him up & feed him!!! She is out of her mind. I looked & nodded. She left the room & I told Bill I will not wake him up. I just started to give him more during the day! One month he needs to cut back & another month give more. "The Chart" is a little annoying!

Real quick note....Happy 50th Birthday Cheryl!! Bill, Cameron & I love you so!!! Thank you for all that you have done! We greatly appreciate it!!!
Cameron is discovering so many new things. He discovered Maya this week. He saw her before, but never paid attention to her. Now he saw her & just stared at her. Maya indulged Cameron by sitting next to him & licking his feet. Cameron was thrilled. Belle still could care less. My Munchkin is changing everyday. There are days I think he looks like me & then I snap a photo and he looks like Bill. I know no matter who he looks like, he will be beautiful & special!! I love him so....Happy 2 month birthday our perfect Son!!
